Our story

The beginning

Our story began in 2010, when two friends, former chemistry researchers, set out on a journey through Spain. Curiosity took them from region to region, through vineyards and small wineries, discovering wines and treasures they soon wanted to share.

Behind every discovery was someone: a family, hands tending the land, years of work and the dream of making good wine. Getting to know those people shaped the way we choose. From the beginning, we wanted to bring others the products we had tasted, appreciated and personally connected with.

Beyond Spain

Over time, that passion crossed borders. Wines and spirits from France, Italy and Portugal brought new friendships and reasons to keep exploring. We stayed true to the commitment that had brought us this far: working directly with small producers and giving their creations the place they deserve.

Our online shop

In 2023, we opened our online shop. We wanted to make the distance between a winery and your table a little shorter; to let you discover our wines from home and receive them with express delivery. It was a new way to share what we loved.

But we also wanted to meet you, pour you a glass and hear what you thought.

Our first gastrobar

So, in 2024, we opened our first Cavina Vinoteca | Gastrobar at Julio González, 7, in Barcelona’s Poblenou neighbourhood. A place where wine meets food and conversations can go on without watching the clock. There, we began to put faces to those who shared our curiosity, remember their tastes and save a recommendation for their next visit.

A bigger table

In 2025, Cavina Vinoteca | Bar arrived at plaza de Barcelona, 15, in Sant Cugat del Vallès, becoming our second venue. The table we had imagined was growing: new neighbours, new glasses and more occasions to gather around something worth savouring.

Our family

As Cavina grew, so did our family. Amid working days and shared dreams, two paths became one. Love came, followed by a new generation. Our story found more reasons to celebrate and a future to look towards with even greater affection.

A shop and tasting room

In 2026, we opened a third venue, Cavina Vinoteca, at Av. Cerdanyola 36 in Sant Cugat, with a shop and tasting room. A place to take your time choosing a bottle, taste wines that spark your curiosity and get to know the people who make them. Here, we share our discoveries through tastings, gatherings and personal recommendations.

More than 500 wines and spirits

Today, we offer more than 500 wines and spirits, from Spain, France, Italy and Portugal to Germany, New Zealand, Chile and Argentina. We still have a special fondness for small and medium-sized wineries. As a family business, we understand the effort behind every project and the joy of having someone believe in it. That is why we seek out gems that few people know and work to bring them to more tables.
